Social Media manager

Job Description

At Rose & Crown we strive to be client centric and place value on delivering services that go above and beyond their expectations. To help us continue to grow and refine our offerings, we’re in search of an experienced social media manager to execute various responsibilities. You will be tasked with creating content calendars, curating custom feeds, and scheduling postings on behalf of the client. You will aid in managing our clients company image in a cohesive way to achieve their marketing goals. As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to engage with the audience and express our client’s views creatively. Ultimately, you will be responsible to handle our clients social media presence, ensuring high levels of web traffic and client engagement.

Objectives

  • Have a passion for working with small businesses. 
  • Curate custom feeds with an eye for design. 
  • Source non-copyrighted imagery. 
  • Develop growth and engagement strategies.  
  • Be able to connect with and speak from other points of view. For instance, we will sometimes have the copywriter cover captions, and sometimes social media will cover captions depending on the business.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with client campaigns/business goals.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency.
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor client reviews.
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.

Qualifications & skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field (this is a bonus not a deal breaker). 
  • Proven work experience as a Social media manager with a portfolio of work.
  • Hands-on experience in content management.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical and multitasking skills.

Compensation: Pay is hourly with a budget range of $25-$30/hour depending on experience and efficiency.
