We’re looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas to create visual representations, in both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concepts to final deliverables. As we expand, we are looking to add individuals with extensive technical expertise, who can work alongside a team and independently to help Rose & Crown continue its growth in a variety of different industries.

Graphic Designer

Job Description

At Rose & Crown we strive to be client centric and place value on delivering services that go above and beyond their expectations. To help us continue to grow and refine our offerings, we’re in search of an experienced graphic designer to execute various responsibilities. We strongly believe that graphic design is a form of visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. In this role you will collaborate with multiple teams across the company. As the graphic designer you will be tasked with taking written or spoken ideas from clients and converting them into a design that connects with their vision. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, while being able to find the right style and layout for every project.

Objectives

  • Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet client business goals.
  • Ensure that designs meet standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately.
  • Work independently as well as cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload. 
  • Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create logos, branding packages, and guidelines.
  • Develop website graphics and patterns.
  • Create email marketing graphics, traditional marketing graphics, and social media graphics. 
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design.
  • Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
  • Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications.
  • Make display ads as well as banner ads.
  • Work closely with clients, copywriters, web designers, social media manager, and ad’s manager throughout the design process. 

Qualifications & skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or related discipline (this is a bonus, not a deal breaker). 
  • Three or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency.
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to clearly convey the reasoning behind design choices to clients.
  • Desire to continue building a skill set with education and training.

  • Canva
  • Photoshop
  • Adobe Suite

Compensation:

Pay is hourly $27-$33 depending on experience and efficiency.
